The ultimate team building activity. All from home.
A Step Ahead is a team fitness challenge that gets employees active anywhere (but probably at home right now).
WORKS AT HOME
Get your employees active and engaged, even while they’re social distancing at home.
With employees spread out and working from home, it’s more important than ever to support their peer-to-peer engagement and emotional wellbeing. A Step Ahead is a virtual team building fitness challenge that tasks your employees with surviving in the (family friendly) zombie apocalypse. Teams use their real-world steps to outrun the hungry zombie horde and their exercise to battle through obstacles as they race from safehouse to safehouse.
Those who fall behind risk turning into a zombie, at which point they much choose: exercise back to health and rejoin their human team? Or embrace their inner-zombie and chase down the rest of the human players?
For a limited time, our Survival Squad Pass is 50% off. Just $50 for 10 players in The Tryout 2-week mission.
Use this time to build your team while they’re apart.

Here’s what people are saying
“None of us would have thought, beginning this challenge, that it would have brought so much positive change to our lives.”
I just completed my first six week Outbreak Challenge and had a BLAST! My four member team was comprised of a 65 year old man, a 30’s woman in MS remission, a 28 year old bride to be – married 3/21/20 in the middle of COVID-19 (talk about stress!!), and me a late 40’s mom to an 11 year old on the Autism Spectrum.
Each one of us needed (not that we all KNEW we needed) this challenge for both different and similar reasons: improved health and muscle tone, stress relief, “me” time, looking great, motivational strength and self-confidence. Not only did the four of us RISE to this challenge, but we pushed each other, learned about each other, and grew to be inspirational coaches for each other.
None of us would have thought, beginning this challenge, that it would have brought so much positive change to our lives. Ending this challenge: we have new friends, in each other and competing teammates we met along the way; a new confidence and pride in meeting goals, improved health, greater motivation and endurance, and overall much improved outlooks on our lives as whole. Thank you. My teammates and I can’t wait for the next challenge to begin!

How A Step Ahead is Different Click to learn what makes A Step Ahead unlike any other corporate health challenge.
BORING IS BORING
Why Other Challenges Crash and Burn
Putting badges and a leaderboard on an otherwise boring challenge doesn’t make it fun. Traditional corporate wellness walking challenges have strong participation at the start, but often tank after the first two weeks. Why? Because that’s about how long it takes to get bored with a static experience.
BREAKING THE MOLD
Why A Step Ahead is Different
A Step Ahead is the result of video game designers looking at a traditionally boring segment and saying, “If we were going to design a walking challenge, what would it look like?” The result is a team-based, story-driven game experience that gets groups active and engaged.
EMPLOYEES LOVE US
You Really Really Love Us
Companies love us. Employees love us. The results speak for themselves: three out of four companies who try A Step Ahead once sign up for another challenge, and over 90% of employee participants indicate that they want to continue to the next episode after a challenge ends.
More Than Just Badges and a Leaderboard
With episodic stories in an ever-expanding fictional universe, fun game mechanics, team goals and bonuses, boss battles, and our secret sauce, A Step Ahead gets groups active and keeps them active with new content, new goals, and new challenges each week.
